Meeting villagers in a small town in São Tomé and Príncipe where I served as a Foreign Service Officer 2012-2015. I was happier than the children. They made my heart soar to high heaven because they had so little, but could smile. Their smiles and genuine nature were an undeserved gift to me. I was humbled on that day.

I’ll keep it quick and simple. In the image above that’s me over to the left. I am a retired US Federal employee where I served for more than 22 years as an Instructional Systems Developer/Technical Instructor, IT Specialist (Networks), and Foreign Service Officer (FSO). The photo above was taken when I was an FSO in Sao Tome and Principe, West Africa for three years. I was out and about visiting, chatting, and sharing with the local villagers. That was a wonderful and beautiful day! The children never saw themselves in a video. The smiles on their faces say it all.

Me today!

Prior to becoming a federal employee, I was in the United States Air Force for twenty years. I am a Veteran. That was a great experience. I traveled to many countries and made many friends. What a great life I have lived! The experiences! The many great people I have met and had the privilege to know, work with and work for. Not that it was without bumps in the road, but I am pleased with where I have arrived.  It’s not over, there are more living and experiences yet ahead for me!

I believe that all of the things we experience in life; the people we meet; partially contribute to mold us into what we become. Somehow, we are forever connected. That vast universe – in which all things exist – is our mirror. Whatever we project out into it, is reflected back onto us. If that projection is positivity, negativity, love, or hate … that is what is mirrored back upon us. So you see, YOU have the power to become ANYTHING you want to be.

My LinkedIn Profile

Throughout my combined 42-year career in federal service, smooth jazz was there to help see me through and forge my laidback personality. I thank my oldest Brother – Godfrey – for turning me on to smooth jazz. He was all class. I miss him.

Not a day goes by where I am not listening to it. I seize upon every opportunity to check out events and concerts near me.

That’s enough for now. I hope you enjoy what I bring to you here on Ripped Radio Smooth Jazz: The best in smooth jazz.
